Let’s talk about major earthquakes.  Earthquakes are measured by magnitude and intensity.  The magnitude of a quake is the measured value on the Richter Scale (between 0 and 10) of the size of the earthquake.  The intensity of an earthquake is the measure of how much shaking is created in various locations.
